There are many stories and legends about the origin of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. The favored story involves the 1807 shipwreck of an English ship bound for Poole, England. The crew and two puppies survived the wreck: a brown male named Sailor and a black bitch dubbed Canton in honor of the rescuing ship. These two puppies were St. John's water dogs, no doubt bound for Lord Malmesbury's estates, which at this time was developing the prototype for the Labrador Retriever breed. These puppies found homes in the Chesapeake Bay area, on the opposite shores, and were trained and used for duck retrieving. The dogs that descended from these two ultimately became collectively known as Chesapeake Bay Retrievers.

Here in Canton Kennels I will be doing a finishing service on side and breeding Tibetian Mastiifs full time.
Puppies
I am always open to requests on puppies and depending on how many showable dogs I have I will usually be open to giving someone first pick of the litter as long as they ask. Depending on the quality of the dog I might ask for approval before I sell to you.
Studs
I like to keep them at $50 so everyone can use them and never ask for approval.
Basics vs Standard Accounts
I try not to discriminate but if you're a basic who just signed up please email me(PM) and I can help you get started in the game or let me know that you aren't going to just quit in a day or a week.
Resale Policy
I would like it if you offered me a dog I bred back before you decide to FH her/him or resell her/him.
Finishing dogs
I realize that I am a new kennel but I am very confident. I also played for 2 years straight in another kennel but had to take a break. I study all breeds that I take in before I buy the dog and I pick the judges out based on the traits of the dog. I feel that I could be very good at finishing dogs but here what I ask:
1. I buy dog for $100 - you buy back for $200
2. Dog must be fully sessioned or all 3 in blues
3. 2 dog maximum
4. I can turn down any dog that I don't feel will finish.
5. I will pay you if I cannot finish your dog in time; I'll pay you $200 for a dog that would be FHed
Please PM if interested, I realize the risk you're taking here but please have faith in me.
I am always willing to help you finish any dog and give advice. This might be a new kennel but I've played before and know what to do.
Colors
I'm not often picky but I'm trying to get a solid gold line going and a brown line but that one will be tougher
